It’s Canada Day, eh?

July 1st is Canada Day…our equivalent to the US’s July 4, although we tend to do everything a little smaller here. We have parades and fireworks, and most of us get the day of work. Tonight I’ll be volunteering – selling tickets at our annual Strawberry Festival pub as the crowds flow into central Stouffville for tonight’s fireworks.

In the meantime, I thought I’d share with you some truly Canadian signs. (Photos taken by me in Banff at a restaurant aptly named Toques.)

TOQUE - the ultimate in high Canadian fashion. A hat worn year round whether it's cold or warm outside and yes it gets warm in Canada
