Two steps closer

Well, I’m two steps closer to my book. STEP ONE: On Tuesday I received my ITIN. That is a tax number that my American publisher needs in order to process my pay. I had to submit to the IRS, and was warned it could take a long time, but I got it back within about 6 weeks. I’m sure people don’t say this very often but…Thank you IRS! STEP TWO: Signed and mailed in my contract. As soon as TWRP gets it, I’ll get a copy of the requested edits. I’m both nervous and excited to see what they have to say. In the meantime I continue to read my POV and Blogging for Dummies books, and this weekend, I’m going to try to start following and learning from other blogs.

Wow, there is a lot of work involved.

Wow, there is a lot of work invovled in being published; it doesn’t just stop at the writing.
I have created this website and my new gmail account. I have written an author bio, picked an excerpt, written a blurb, and written both a dedication and an acknowlegement. I’ve thought about and/or started work on this blog, business cards, and what I would like in the way of cover art. I still have to set up a facebook and twitter accounts (suggested by the publisher and other TWRP authors) and get involved in other blogs. And all of this doesn’t include the suggested edits that will be coming my way shortly. In the meantime, in addition to my already busy life, I’m trying to read a suggested booklet on POV and am on page 32 of Blogging for Dummies.

I received a contract for my novella!

I am excited to say that I received an offer from The Wild Rose Press (TWRP) to publish my novella Silver Blade. I’m also terrified to say that I received an offer from TWRP to publish my novella Silver Blade. I thought editing was tough, but now websites, and promos, and blogging….Oh my!
Here is my first blog, dear world, and I’m already at a loss for what to say so I will start with something simple….A big thank-you to TWRP and E.MacKenzie for the opportunity, I will be forever grateful.
